JAKARTA - Something was interesting about the PKS National Working Meeting held last February 24-26. There is a group from the Province of Papua Mountains which is the main attraction.

The figure of Terius Yigibalom who became Chair of the Papua Mountains PKS Regional Leadership Council. He told about the management of PKS in Papua. He said PKS is a party that is open to all adherents of the religion.

"I come from a family of evangelists, my father is an evangelist and also a tribal chief. At first, I was hesitant when I wanted to join PKS, because all Muslims here", said Terius as quoted from the party's official website, Monday, February 27.

"But after I joined, my judgment was wrong. The PKS party is very open to all people. I conveyed to my tribe that if you enter PKS, you don't have to change religions", continued Terius.

Terius then stated his readiness to win the PKS in the province that had just been formed, namely Papua Mountains. He said the people in his area were ready to win PKS in the next general election.

'Even though we are a new province and also a new Regional Leadership Council, we have been ready long ago. The indigenous people in the mountains in our village are ready to win PKS in the elections", he said.

Furthermore, he said the Papuan group had to pass through the mountains to get to Jakarta. Terius said he did this to show his seriousness in participating in the PKS National Working Meeting.

"We have to cross the mountain first by land route to get to the airport, actually it is more expensive to go to Jakarta than abroad. We do this to show we are serious about participating in National Working Meeting activities", Terius concluded.
