Led By Rahmat Gobel, Member Of The House Of Representatives Flew To The Japanese Panasonic Factory, Jajaki, Collaboration For Battery Provision For IKN

JAKARTA - A number of members of the House of Representatives visited the Panasonic battery factory in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan, to see opportunities for cooperation related to the development of the State Capital (IKN).

"Today we will visit the battery industry center from Panasonic. We want to see to what extent it is possible to cooperate in developing needs in IKN," said Member of Commission XI DPR RI Kamrussamad in Tokyo, Japan, Monday, February 27, as reported by Antara.

In addition to IKN, the visit to a factory in West Japan is also to consider the ability of the multinational electronics company to support the electric vehicle battery industry in Indonesia.

"This is the battery industry, so the battery can be used for four or two-wheeled vehicles, but it can also be for office and residential needs in IKN," explained the member of the DPR RI from the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) faction.

Kamrussamad, who took part in the DPR RI's group of trips, explained that Panasonic was included as one of the candidates for IKN development because he was considered capable of supporting the implementation of the green economy.

"We will also listen to their explanations, to what extent we are ready to support green economy programs that can be synergized in Indonesia," he said.

This visit from the Indonesian House of Representatives to Japan was led by Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives for Industrial and Development Coordinator (Korinbang) Rachmat Gobel. Also present at the visit were the Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force Danis Sumadilaga and Deputy for Funding and Investment at the IKN Authority Agung Wicaksono.
