LSI Survey: AHY Orders The Standings Of The Vice Presidential Candidate To Ridwan Kamil

JAKARTA - The Independent Survey Institute (LSI) released the results of the latest survey regarding potential candidates for vice president (cawapres) 2024. Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono alias AHY took the top position followed by Puan Maharani and Erick Thohir.

"The three young figures managed to occupy the top position of the vice presidential electability survey," said LSI Research Director Fathur Rahman in a written statement, Friday, February 24, quoted by Antara.

Fathur explained that AHY's Chairman of the Democratic Party was in first place with a percentage of 27.2 percent, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani 19.4 percent, and SOE Minister Erick Thohir in third with 9.7 percent.

Furthermore, he said, Sandiaga Uno 6.5 percent, Ridwan Kamil 4.6 percent, Airlangga Hartarto 3.9 percent, Muhaimin Iskandar 2.8 percent, Gatot Nurmantyo 1.6 percent, Khofifah Indar Parawansa 0.8 percent, Andika Perkasa 0.4 percent, and have not yet made a choice of 23.1 percent.

Fathur said that the vice presidential candidate was a very highlighted factor in the general election because they had an important role in helping the president.

"It is different from presidential candidates, who in the survey did not show any new names. However, the vice president has a number of young figures who have qualified competence to help the president's work later," he said.

Implementation of the LSI survey from 11 to 23 February 2023 with samples from 34 provinces in Indonesia for those who have the right to vote in the general election.

A total of 1,200 respondents were randomly selected using the multistage random sampling method with a margin of error of 2.83 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
