Democrats Please Anies Immediately DEtermine The Vice President After The PKS Is Declared

JAKARTA - The Democrat Party (PD) hopes that the 2024 presidential candidate (readpres) Anies Baswedan will immediately determine the name of the vice presidential candidate (cawapres), after being officially declared by the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) yesterday. Deputy for Bappilu for the Democratic Party, Kamhar Lakumani, said that if Anies had determined the name of his assistant cawapres, then Democrats, NasDem and PKS could also immediately declare the Change Coalition. "We hope that Mas Anies will immediately determine the vice presidential candidate, so that the plenary declaration of the Change Coalition and its presidential and vice presidential candidates can be immediately declared," Kamhar told reporters, Friday, February 24. "We hope that this can be decided soon. The sooner the better," he continued. Kamhar assessed that the consolidation of party political machines that are members of the Change Coalition will further optimize the winning work after the declaration. Furthermore, said Kamhar, the Secretary of the Change Coalition will also soon be formed. He said that the formation of the securities had been discussed and was just a matter of time to launch. "The making of the Secretary, the signing of a memorandum of understanding for the support of the three party leaders to fulfill the 20 percent presidential threshold, the commitment to fight for the people's aspirations for change and improvement. It has been discussed, we'll just have to wait for the time," he concluded. It is known that Anies Baswedan received his candidacy as a presidential candidate for 2024 which was mandated by the Syuro Council and the PKS DPP on Thursday, February 23. According to him, after successfully leading DKI Jakarta as governor, now is the time to start a new chapter by participating in the presidential election (Pilpres). "With gratitude and happiness, we convey that we arrived at the port yesterday. The goal of bringing justice, peace, prosperity, unity in Jakarta has been completed. And now we are starting a new chapter," Anies said in his speech. Anies also officially accepted PKS' proposal to run as a presidential candidate (readpres) in 2024 which will be promoted by PKS together with NasDem and Democrats who are members of the Change Coalition. "Today allow with humility and hope for the pleasure and help of Allah SWT. We feel very honored to officially accept the candidacy as the Indonesian Presidential Candidate for 2024-2029 from PKS," said Anies. Anies said that the declaration of presidential candidacy made by PKS today will be a mandate that will be accounted for with hard work to win the 2024 presidential election. The goal is to bring change to Indonesia. "This is a big mandate that we will emban firmly, and ready to work hard with the party that has been and will join in an effort to advance Indonesia.
