Rahmat Called Attorney Pinangki Asked His Cellphone Not To Be Confiscated By The Prosecutor's Office

JAKARTA - The witness in the case of alleged gratification of the Supreme Court (MA) fatwa, Rahmat said that prosecutor Pinangki Sirna Malasari had forced his cellphone to ask. The goal, so that his cellphone is not confiscated by the Attorney General's Office (AGO) investigators.

The public prosecutor acknowledged Pinangki's request when he touched on the contents of Rahmat's Investigation Report (BAP). It said that Pinangki had forced Rahmat to hand over his cellphone.

"What was the reason why sister Pinangki asked for your brother's cellphone ?," asked the prosecutor during a trial at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, Thursday, January 7.

Rahmat said Pinangki asked for his cellphone on August 10, 2019. The purpose of Pinangki was asking him not to be confiscated by investigators.

But there is no definite reason why Pinangki did not want the cellphone to be confiscated by investigators. Rahmat said, at that time Pinangki felt safer if he held the cellphone.

"Instead of confiscating your cellphone later, the Attorney General's Office, after holding it with me," said Rahmat.

In the previous trial, Rahmat admitted that he had received threats from Prosecutor Pinangki Sirna Malasari. The threat occurred while undergoing questioning at the Attorney General's Office.

"If I'm not mistaken when I met Mrs. Pinangki at the AGO," said Rahmat at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, Monday, November 9.

Pinangki's anger, said Rahmat, was due to his confession to investigators regarding cell phones. Where in the examination he said Pinangki took his cellphone. However, Pinangki did not admit it and threatened to be strangled.

"Yes, he said 'I didn't take your cellphone' why did you say I took your cellphone, if I'm not mistaken, sir," said Rahmat.
