DPRD Cianjur Asks Local Governments To Re-examine The 3 Kg HET LPG HET Ascension

Chairman of Commission B of the Cianjur Regency DPRD, Diki Ismail, said that his party immediately held a meeting with the relevant agencies and Hiswana Migas Cianjur because before the increase, the price of 3 kilograms of LPG was out of control. " “ We ask the Cianjur Diskoperindag, to evaluate and review it because price increases will burden residents, especially in areas affected by the earthquake, because before being raised in retailers, there has been an increase from north to south," he said in Cianjur as reported by Antara, Tuesday, February 21. His party also asked the Task Force (Satgas) chaired by Regional Assistant I and his deputy from the Cianjur Diskoperindag, in accordance with the decree on increasing the 3 kilograms HET of gas, to supervise and adjust the applicable increases in other areas such as Bogor, Sukabumi and Purwakarta. The price increase in Cianjur, said Diki, should not have an impact on the subsidized gas quota from Cianjur running out of town or vice versa from other cities entering Cianjur because the price is cheaper, so it must be closely monitored by the Task Force. "We also see the condition of Cianjur, still in an emergency transition to disaster management, so that residents are still in difficult economic conditions, we ask for an increase in re-examined or lifted at least after Eid," he said. He hopes that the Task Force will immediately hold a meeting and decide to revoke the decree on the increase in the 3 kilogram HET of gas on the clear reason that Cianjur's condition is still in the transition to handling earthquake disasters. Head of the Cianjur Regency Diskoperindag, Tohari Sastra, said the increase in gas prices was only among agents and bases with a value of Rp. 1,500 for agents and Rp. 3,000 per tube at the base level, while in retailers there was no increase. "This increase is in accordance with other cities/regencies that have already raised 3 kilograms of HET gas such as Bogor and Sukabumi. We together with Hiswana Migas Cianjur, will carry out supervision and apply strict sanctions for retailers who increase prices," he said. Chairman of the Cianjur Regency Hiswana Migas DPC, Hedi Permadi Boy, said the price increase only applies at the agent and base level because so far it has not increased, while at the retail level the price has occurred since fuel prices rose. "We will apply sanctions that do not provide supplies for retailers who increase prices because before the increase, the price of 3 kilograms of gas at various dilution rates ranging from Rp. 23,000 to Rp. 27,000 per cylinder, the supervisory function will be further improved," he said.
