MAKASSAR - The perpetrator of the theft by breaking the glass of a car with the initials J (38) was arrested by the police. This perpetrator broke the glass of 5 police cars.

This theft was revealed after the car of a member of the South Sulawesi Regional Police was burglarized who took the car audio tape on Friday, January 1.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Maros South Sulawesi Police, Iptu Rusly, said the perpetrator committed the theft by prying the car door glass with a screwdriver. The glass is then broken.

The perpetrator immediately took the car audio tape using the key that had been prepared.

"The victim was a member of the Pangkep Police 1 (person), 3 people from Polda," said Iptu Rusly, to VOI, Thursday, January 7.

The perpetrator was arrested on Tuesday 6 January, at around 02.00 WITA (early morning). At that time the police were on patrol in Maros-Makassar.

The police saw the perpetrator, precisely in front of the Darul Istiqomah Maccopa Maros Islamic Boarding School, was stealing.

"The glass of the victim's silver Honda Jazz was damaged. The police immediately arrested the perpetrator. But the perpetrator tried to escape on a motorcycle," said Iptu Rusly.

When the perpetrator was about to run away, the perpetrator was hit by a car. As a result, the perpetrator broke his right and was taken to a hospital.

When they were secured, the perpetrator's bag was found containing 5 (five) units of car audio tape of various brands that were allegedly stolen, a plate screwdriver key and a flower screwdriver as well as pliers and a T key.

The perpetrator was brought to the Maros Police for examination. The perpetrator is now named a suspect.
