The DKI Provincial Government Brought 21 Electric Service Vehicles This Year, The Price Per Car Is IDR 800 Million

JAKARTA - The procurement of electric-based official vehicles from the DKI Provincial Government will start this year. The DKI Provincial Government purchased 21 electric service cars at a price of Rp800 million per unit using the 2023 APBD.

However, before this official vehicle was used, the DKI Provincial Government first compiled and issued a regional head regulation that would be signed by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD), Reza Pahlevi, said that the number of electric service vehicles imported still did not meet the needs of all DKI Provincial Government officials.

"Our plan for this year is 21 vehicles first because the budget is large. This year it will be used by the Governor, Regional Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Inspectorate, to Head of Bappeda," Reza told reporters, Monday, February 21.

Then, for gasoline-fueled official cars that have been operated so far, the DKI Provincial Government will process the removal of assets for an open auction.

"The auction is carried out through the KPNKL (State Property and Auction Service Office)," said Reza.

Meanwhile, in 2024, the DKI Provincial Government will not budget for additional units of electric service vehicles. This is because the DKI Regional Budget next year will be prioritized in the main programs of Acting Governor Heru Budi. The procurement is budgeted again in 2025.

"Because the budget is limited, next year we will stop procurement first. Our budget (in 2024) must be prioritized to floods, health, NCICD, kemcaetan. That is a priority," he explained.

For information, the procurement of electric service vehicles is mandated in Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 7 of 2022 concerning Battery-Based Electric Vehicles (Battery Electric Vehicles) as Vehicles of the Operational and/or Individual Service of Central Government Agencies and Regional Governments. President Jokowi signed this Instruction on September 13, 2022. Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko said this inpres was a manifestation of Jokowi's commitment to implementing the energy transition from fossil sources to new and renewable energy.

Presidential Instruction Number 7/2022 is aimed at all ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, cabinet secretaries, presidential chiefs of staff, attorney generals, TNI commanders, heads of Indonesian Police, heads of non-ministerial government agencies, heads of state institution secretariats, governors, and regents/mayors. under the provisions of the legislation.
