DPRD Calls That The Jakarta Covid-19 Vaccination Ration For Health Workers Is Less

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta has received 39,200 thousand doses of vaccine from PT Bio Farma. In the next few days, 80,840 doses will be sent back to the capital.

Thus, the total vaccine ration for the first phase was 120,040 vaccines. The targets of this first phase of the vaccine are health workers, health worker assistants, support staff, and students who are currently undergoing medical professional education who work in health service facilities.

Deputy Chairman of DKI DPRD, Zita Anjani said, the number of vaccines distributed is not sufficient to be injected to all health workers in DKI.

"There will be 120 thousand doses for health workers in Jakarta. In fact, it is not enough, because there are 131 thousand health workers. It takes 262 thousand doses ideally, because one person is injected twice every 14 days. Maybe gradually," said Zita in his statement, Thursday, December 7.

Zita said that currently the DKI Regional Government has not yet determined the exact time when the use of the COVID-19 vaccination will begin. Because, still waiting for a decision from the Ministry of Health and the central team.

"I think this is natural, indeed vaccination should not be carried out before there is an Emergency Use Authorization, or an emergency use permit from the BPOM. We have to wait for the clinical trial first," he said.

Zita asked all parties to give time to the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) to monitor the quality of the COVID-19 vaccine without any pressure. So, the results of the supervision carried out can be maximized in order to maintain the safety of the community.

"I hope, hopefully the clinical trials will come out soon with good and safe results. Then BPOM can immediately issue emergency use authorization (EUA) and vaccination in Indonesia will run smoothly," he said.

For information, the total dose of the first phase vaccine received by DKI was 120,040. The target criteria for the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination in DKI are health workers, health worker assistants, support staff, and students who are currently undergoing medical professional education who work in health service facilities.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria estimates that Riza will carry out the COVID-19 vaccination in the Capital City around the second and third week of January 2021.

He claimed that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government was able to inject 20 thousand of the COVID-19 vaccine per day when the injection permit was obtained. DKI has prepared 453 locations for health facilities for vaccination.

"The DKI Provincial Government has prepared 453 health facilities to implement COVID-19 vaccination along with medical doctors, nurses and midwives as vaccinators. The injection capacity is 20,473 people per day," said Riza.
