Alleged Gratification Case In Batu City Government, KPK Cecarates Entrepreneurs For Giving Money

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to investigate the alleged case of gratification in the Batu City Government that occurred around 2011-2017.

Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri said that in the investigation of this case, there were two witnesses being questioned, namely the owner of PT Gunadharma Anugerah, Mohammad Zaini and former household assistant of former Mayor Eddy Rumpoko, Kristiawan.

During the investigation, the KPK questioned Kristiawan who was suspected of being the intermediary for the recipient of gratuities from contractors and SKPD in the Batu City Government.

"Meanwhile, Mohammad Zaini, private or owner of PT Gunadharma Anugerah, has his knowledge investigated regarding the alleged provision of a certain amount of money to parties related to this case in order to get a job project at the Batu City Government," said Plt. The examination of the two was carried out on Tuesday, January 5 at the Batu City Police Criminal and Detective Office.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted searches at a number of service offices within the Batu City Government which are located at the Among Tani City Hall, Batu City, East Java, Wednesday, January 6.

The search was carried out at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (DPUPR), the Tourism Office and the Batu City Education Office. The three offices are on the second floor of the Among Tani City Hall, Batu City.
