The 2024 Regional Head Election Budget For North Penajam Paser Is Proposed By The KPU Rp31.3 M, The Regency Government's Distention Is Rp22.9 M

The North Penajam Paser Regency Government (PPU) assisted the 2024 Pilkada budget to IDR 22.9 billion or a decrease of IDR 8.4 billion from the PPU General Election Commission (KPU) proposal of IDR 31.3 billion.

"We propose a regional election budget of IDR 31.3 billion in March 2022," said Chairman of the PPU Regency KPU, Irwan Syahwana in Penajam, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), Friday, February 17, as reported by Antara.

Then, he continued, the district government assisted the regional election budget in June 2022, which was reduced to Rp30.1 billion.

The PPU Regency Government has again reduced the 2024 Pilkada budget proposed by the KPU, the results of which have decreased again to Rp22.9 billion.

The Pilkada budget will be re-insisted by the Regional Government Budget Team or the North Penajam Paser Regency Government TAPD on February 22, 2023.

He hopes that there will be no further budget reductions in the next assistance and funeral, he said, because the Rp22.9 billion is far below the 2018 Pilkada budget of Rp26 billion.

The local government has reduced the Pilkada budget in the hope that there will be budget support from the provincial government, he added, the KPU submitted a proposal for the Pilkada budget to the provincial government of Rp. 7.3 billion.

The budget is used to finance 27 Pilkada activities which will take place on November 27, 2024.

He said the proposed disbursement of the budget would be divided into two fiscal years, which will be disbursed in 2023 as much as 40 percent and 60 percent in 2024 because the 2024 Pilkada stage starts in October 2023.

The budget disbursed in 2023 is used for the stages of implementing preparations such as the launch of stages, socialization and recruitment of adhocs.

Disbursement of the budget in 2024 for logistics procurement activities, payment of adhoc honorariums, recruitment of PPS (voting committee) and KPPS (voting organizers).
