Reports Have Been Revoked, Black Fortuner Drivers Are Still Detained At The South Jakarta Police

The South Jakarta Police are still detaining Giorgio Ramadhan (24), a black Fortuner driver even though AW (38), a yellow Brio driver, has withdrawn the report.

"Still detained as a suspect because the peace process (restorative justice) has not yet," said Head of the Public Relations Section of the South Jakarta Metro Police AKP Nurma Dewi, quoted from Antara, Friday, February 17.

According to Nurma, until now the suspect has not submitted a request for restorative justice so that he is still being held in prison.

Meanwhile, suspect GR can be released from prison, if the police have imposed a letter of termination of investigation (SP3), namely a notification letter from police investigators that the investigation of a case has been stopped.

"The conditions for'restorative justice' are that the suspect submits an application and then waits for approval from the reporting party," he said.

On a different occasion, a resident with the initials AW (38) withdrew the police report against the Fortuner car driver with the initials GR (24) who damaged his car in Senopati, South Jakarta, on Sunday, February 12, at 02.00 WIB.

AW officially withdrew the police report Number: LP/B/II/2023/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA. The report was made on February 12, 2023.

"The reason is because he has good faith and has apologized to Giorgio's brother and family," AW said when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Friday.

AW added that his party had entered into an agreement that GR would not repeat his actions again. Moreover, GR will also compensate for the damage suffered but the nominal amount is not stated.

"Me and Giorgio agreed to make peace. This is my reason for withdrawing this police report," he said.

AW expressed his gratitude to the police and the community for helping him in this case.

"I thank you for your support. I just did this for humanitarian reasons," he said.
