East Amabi Oefeto District was hit by heavy rain from 14.00 to 16.00 WITA, causing Oetuni River water in Kenam Hamlet, Nunnafo Oemofa Village to overflow, so that flooding recalled dozens of local residents' houses. Based on temporary information from the Nunnafo Village Government, there were 50 families affected by the flood after the flood water with a height of 30-49 centimeters inundated residents' houses. He said that in that incident there was damage to residents' houses due to flooding. In addition, he said, residents' livestock, such as chickens, pigs, and dogs as well as household furniture belonging to residents were also swept away by the flood. "Based on residents' confessions at the time of the incident, the flood water was so heavy that a lot of household furniture belonging to the residents was washed away by the flood. There were residents who fled to residents' houses because the houses were flooded," he said. He hopes that the residents of Nunnafo Village will continue to anticipate further flooding, especially at night, because the rain is still occurring in the area. "Especially residents who live on the banks of the Oetuni River to be more vigilant, if the rain continues to occur, then they should evacuate to a safe place," said Elfrid V. S Strange.
