Surut, Residents Of 5 Villages In West Sumbawa Clean Up The Remaining Floods

Residents in five villages in Brang Rea District, West Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), began cleaning their flooded houses after heavy rainfall fell on Monday, February 13 yesterday.

Head of Public Relations of the West Sumbawa Police, Ipda Eddy Soebandi, said that the post-flood residents' cleaning activities were assisted by the joint TNI-Polri apparatus.

"Among them are Sapugara Bree Village, Seminar Salit Village, Beru Village, Tepas Village and Tepas Village agreed," said Eddy in a written statement, Tuesday, February 14, quoted by Antara.

Heavy rains that occurred from Monday (13/2) day to night caused the water of the Brang Rea River to overflow and enter the residents' yard. So that members worked together to evacuate and clean the houses of residents who were submerged in water due to the flood.

"The water started to recede after the rain stopped," he said.

On that occasion, giving an appeal to the public to turn off the electricity kilometers so that unwanted things do not happen, as well as to anticipate and remind people who live on the riverbank.

"As for areas affected by flooding due to overflowing river water, heavy rains are almost evenly distributed throughout Brang Rea District," he said.

Until now, members of the Sector Police are conducting patrols in the Brang rea area, it is hoped that the public will remain vigilant and there will be further flooding, because the weather is still cloudy with the potential for heavy rain.
