MANOKWARI - The Regent of Manokwari, West Papua, Hermus Indou reminded all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within the district government to be cooperative when the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) audits financial reports. "The OPD leadership and all of its staff serve well when the inspection team arrives," said Hermus during a joint rally at the Manokwari Regent's office, reported by Antara, Monday, February 13. He emphasized that the OPD leadership and all its staff must be able to provide the complete data and financial information needed by the BPK audit team. Then, OPD leaders are required to be in their respective offices when the audit team wants to conduct an examination of the financial report. "It is this team that helps us if there are mistakes in the presentation of financial reports," he said. In the process of examining financial reports, of course there will be a test of the suitability of reports with field facts and administrative preparation. Therefore, all reports on the use of government budgets must refer to the physical work that has been realized. "There should be no fictitious physical work in the report," the regent ordered. He explained that local government officials are required to apply the principles of transparency and accountability in every use of government budgets. The duties and responsibilities carried out must be carried out as well as possible for the implementation of regional development programs to realize the welfare of the community. Technical agencies that are directly related to the public are reminded not to commit maladministration, especially financial reports when audited by BPK. "We have to be honest, say yes if we do and not if we don't do it. Don't not then say yes," said Hermus. According to him, there are many aspects of evaluating financial reports in line with the implementation of the two-year government wheels. The aspects referred to include the performance of local governments, loyalty of government officials, and others. "If it's good, we will maintain it and those who haven't, we will shift the leadership, not non-jobs," said the regent.
