Guarding Sinovac Vaccine From China, The National Police Dispatched 83,566 Personnel

JAKARTA - The National Police deployed 83,566 personnel to oversee the distribution of Sinovac vaccines from China to all regions of Indonesia. This escort is done so that the distribution runs smoothly.

"The National Police involved 83,566 personnel who were deployed in order to make the national vaccine program a success," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono to reporters, Tuesday, January 5.

Rusdi said, in escorting the Sinovac vaccine, the Police had been involved from the start. This means that since the vaccine made by the Chinese company arrived in Indonesia, it has been escorted to be brought to Bandung, West Java.

"The National Police together with other related agencies have secured it since the vaccine arrived at Soekarno-Hatta airport and then moved to Bio Farma, we will secure it," he said.

Then, during the distribution of vaccines, the National Police continued to accompany officers from PT Bio Farma to the destination. Apart from that, the escort was also carried out with TNI personnel.

"From the province to the district and city level and even to the points of implementation of the vaccine, the Police will carry out security, of course, together with TNI colleagues," he said.

The areas that received vaccines and the number of vials received were East Java 77,760 vials, Central Java 62,560 vials, Bali 31,000 vials, Banten 14,560 vials, Bengkulu 20,280 vials, West Sumatra 36,920 vials, Lampung 40,520 vials, and Riau 20,000 vials.

Then, South Sumatra 30,000 vials, Jambi 20,000 vials, North Kalimantan 10,680 vials, Papua 14,680 vials, North Maluku 7,160 vials, Maluku 15,120 vials, DKI Jakarta 39,200 vials, DI Yogyakarta 26,800 vials, West Nusa Tenggara 28,760 vials and Gorontalo 4,800 vials.

Furthermore, East Nusa Tenggara 13,200 vials, South Kalimantan 25,000 vials, Southeast Sulawesi 20,400 vials, East Kalimantan 25,520 vials, West Kalimantan 10,000 vials, Central Kalimantan 14,460 vials, North Sumatra 10,000 vials, South Sulawesi 30,000 vials, Central Sulawesi 11,000 vials, and Bangka Belitung 6,280 vials.

Then, Aceh 14,000 vials, Riau Islands 13,000 vials, West Papua 7,160 vials, North Sulawesi 13,200 vials, West Java 49,360 vials, and West Sulawesi not getting vaccines.
