BANJARMASIN - KPK praised the Banjarmasin Police for successfully maintaining the security situation during the trial of the former Tanah Bumbu Regent Mardani H Maming at the Banjarmasin Corruption Court until the agenda was to knock on the hammer of the panel of judges.

Banjarmasin Deputy Chief of Police, AKBP Pipit Subiyanto, who led the security, said that his party had been on full alert since the inaugural trial on November 10, 2022.

Mardani H Maming was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to four months in prison and asked to pay compensation of Rp. 110,604,731,752 and if not paid, he was replaced with imprisonment for two years.

The panel of judges also ordered two luxury watches of the Richard Mille brand which were said to be one of the tools for gratification transactions to be confiscated for the state.
