JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party welcomed the meeting of PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin with Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto at Istora Senayan, Friday, February 10, morning. The daily chairman of the Gerindra DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that his party had no problem if PKB and Golkar communicated with each other. He considered that the friendship between the two political party leaders was a natural thing ahead of the election. “ The meeting between political parties in facing elections is fine and good. That then PKB or Golkar did a gathering, communicated, yes, that is what must be done, said Dasco at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Friday, February 10. Dasco emphasized that the meeting between Cak Imin and Airlangga would not interfere with relations or weaken the Gerindra-PKB coalition. Instead, according to him, PKB visits to political parties are an effort to increase the strength of the coalition. Moreover, he said, PKB had provided information to Gerindra regarding its meeting with Golkar. "What we have agreed with PKB is also clear. I think what PKB has done has been discussed, that visits to these parties are to strengthen each other's coalition ties. With communication, parties can join because of the same vision, " he explained. Previously, Cak Imin admitted that he had informed the General Chairperson of Gerindra, Prabowo Subianto regarding his meeting with Airlangga Hartarto this morning. Cak Imin said that Prabowo actually supports PKB in communicating with Golkar as an effort to knit cooperation. Even though each political party already has a coalition, PKB with the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KIR) and Golkar together with the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB). "Of course every time we have a meeting we tell each other, and this is part of an effort to knit togetherness, this is trying to knit.
