President University Keeps University's Achievements With Most Foreign Students

JAKARTA - President University (Presuniv) has successfully maintained its achievement as a university with the highest number of foreign students at the undergraduate level (S1) in Indonesia since 2017-2022. With this achievement, Presuniv is also the most attractive university by foreign students to continue his studies at the undergraduate level compared to other universities in Indonesia. Referring to data on the https://izin learning.kemendikbud.go.id/in 2017, as many as 6.9 percent of all foreign students in S1 who studied in Indonesia chose Presuniv as the campus of their choice. The following year 2018, the percentage increased again to 7.2 percent. Then 2019 the percentage still rose to 8.3 percent. In 2020, referring to data on the site, there were no foreign students who registered for undergraduate education in Indonesia. This is because of the COVID pandemic that has hit Indonesia and the rest of the world. A year later (2021), thousands of foreign students re-registered to study undergraduate in Indonesia. During 2021, according to data from the Directorate of Institutions, there were 3,896 foreign students studying in Indonesia. Of all these, 5.3 percent of them chose to continue their studies at PresUniv. Then in 2022, 8.8 percent chose to study at Presuniv. Presuniv Chancellor Prof. Dr. Chair said English language skills are a fundamental thing that must be mastered by every student who wants to study at this campus. When joining Presuniv, it was only foreign and Indonesian students who were not fluent in English. “Learn English is exactly like people learn to swim. The fastest way for everyone who wants to be able to swim is not to learn swimming theory in class, but to immediately throw themselves in the pool. That's the method we apply to improve students' abilities in English," he explained in an electronic message received in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 8. Since the first semester, all lectures and any activities in Presuniv have been directly in English.
