The Name Paulus Tannos Changes Due To Passport Of Other Countries

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said its fugitive, Paulus Tannos, could use another name through passports issued by other countries. The suspect in the corruption case in the procurement of electronic identity cards (e-KTP) now has the name Thian Po Tjhin.

"Yes, that's right, of course there are passports that have changed from other countries," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, February 8.

"Of course we cannot mention at this time, which country then issued a passport from the KPK suspect who is currently (entered, red) DPO (wanted list)," he continued.

Ali said that changing this name was a new challenge for the KPK. Even so, they made sure Paulus Tannos would be chased until he got it.

"Efforts to pursue are dynamics and it will be an evaluation in the future, of course, when pursuing the KPK DPOs in particular," he said.

Previously, the KPK revealed that it had almost arrested Paulus in Thailand. However, his name did not appear on the list of NCB Interpol because it had changed to Thian Po Tjhin.

For information, there are four fugitives who are still being chased by the KPK after they arrested the former Commander of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) Izil Azhar, who is a suspect in the alleged receipt of gratuities related to the construction of the Sabang Pier.

The first fugitive being pursued was Kirana Kotama, who has been wanted since 2017 for alleged bribery for filing a revision of forest conversion functions in Riau Province in 2014 to the Ministry of Forestry.

Second, Paulus Tannos, who stumbled upon a case of alleged corruption in the procurement of an Electronic Identity Card (e-KTP). He is currently in Singapore.

Furthermore, former candidate Harun Masiku is also still at large. The suspect who gave bribes to former General Elections Commission (KPU) Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan is still unknown.

Finally, the Regent of Central Mamberamo Ricky Ham Pagawak. He was involved in the alleged bribery case for project sharing in his area.
