Polda Can Additional E-TLE Cameras For Electronic Tickets From The South Kalimantan Provincial Government

JAKARTA - The South Kalimantan Provincial Government has agreed to add an electronic traffic law enforcement (E-TLE) camera for electronic ticketing, which currently has six in Banjarmasin City.

"Alhamdulillah, we thank the Governor of Uncle Birin, Pak Sekda and the Chairman of the DPRD for helping with the addition of E-TLE this year," said Director of Lantas Polda South Kalimantan, Kombes Maesa Soegriwo in Banjarmasin, Wednesday, February 8, quoted from Antara.

For the number, Maesa admitted that she did not know the details. But he hopes that it can be as much as the Regional Police proposed 54 points.

However, he ensured that the area was the initial priority for the addition of the static E-TLE, Banjarbaru City, because it is now the provincial capital to replace Banjarmasin.

"Later we will coordinate with the Banjarbaru Police Chief for the placement points," said Dirlantas.

Maesa admitted, the electronic ticketing system has become a necessity in law enforcement of traffic so that it no longer relies on optimizing the presence of officers in the field.

Then the realization of transparency and accountability because it closes the gap in the existence of prohibited practices for the offender is expected.

"Hopefully, the community will be more orderly and realize the importance of traffic safety, so that without officers, they remain disciplined in wearing helmets, seat belts discipline and so on," said Dirlantas.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the South Kalimantan Provincial DPRD, Supian HK, ensured that his party had approved the local government's decision to add E-TLE.

In fact, he admitted that he had paid attention to the South Kalimantan Transportation Service as the procurement agency.

"We fully support what the Regional Police have proposed because for the common good, we hope it will be realized soon," he said.

Supian admitted, the increase in regional income last year which reached Rp1 trillion was more inseparable from the contribution of the South Kalimantan Police in the implementation of regional tax services and other sectors including maintaining the conduciveness of security so that economic activities could run smoothly.

"National level-level events are often held in South Kalimantan, of course, this requires the support of good traffic facilities and infrastructure, including the realization of community discipline in driving," he explained.
