JAKARTA - Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Hasbiallah Ilyas, highlighted that the case of mixing Bulog rice was sold premiumly, which was found by the President Director of Perum Bulog Budi Waseso (Buwas) at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, East Jakarta.
In a working meeting of Commission B with the ranks of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, Hasbi admitted that he knew who the party who was playing in the rice mixing was.
"I understand very well, sir, who are the rice mafia people in DKI. I really know, yesterday, who the mixed rice belongs to," said Hasbi at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Wednesday, February 8.
Hasbi said that misappropriation of rice sales was not only the fault of the Food Station, but rather fraud in the distribution of privately owned rice and Bulog.
This condition resulted in traders getting rice at an expensive price and finally, they mixed the rice. However, Hasbi was reluctant to reveal who the rice mafia was.
"Indeed, this is not purely the fault of the Food Station, but indeed from above this, from Bulog. This capacity should have been given to company A, but half cut. This is what causes rice mixing that has a Bulog with premium goods," said Hasbi.
However, at least, the Food Station must be able to reduce the mafia's game in rice sales in the DKI Jakarta area, especially the Cipinang Rice Main Market which they manage.
Hasbi asked the Managing Director of Food Station Pamrihadi Wiraryo to identify the rice mafia and anticipate this.
"At the very least, this man must be able to anticipate, must understand very well the rice mafia, the rice player. If all this time you've only been working normally, until we die the rice mafia problem is also not finished," he said.
On February 3, Bulog President Director Budi Waseso (Buwas) inspected a rice warehouse at the Cipinang Rice Main Market. During the inspection, Buwas, Budi Waseso's nickname, found two warehouses of rice traders suspected of misappropriation of Bulog Market Operation rice.
Of the three warehouses visited, two traders were found repackaging 50 kilograms (kg) of rice.
"“ So no matter how much we roll it out, there is no benefit, because the price remains high. From Bulog to buy Rp8,800, it was transferred to premium sacks for other brands for Rp12.000. Because this is considered domestic production, "said Buwas, at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, Jakarta, Friday, February 3.
In addition to being packaged using premium packaging, said Buwas, there is the potential for mixing Bulog rice with other rice. This allegation will be proven through laboratory tests.
Meanwhile, the results from the laboratory will be given to the Food Task Force (Satgas) to follow up. Buwas hopes that the Food Task Force can impose strict sanctions on the naughty distributor.
“ (Brice) Bulog's sack was moved to a different sack. So the selling price is high. There needs to be supervision," he said.
