Regarding The Government Not To Investigate The Shooting Of 6 FPI Warriors, Amien Rais Invites To Form TGPF

JAKARTA - The founder of the Ummat Party, Amien Rais, invited the public to form a Joint Fact Finding Team (TGPF) to investigate the six Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) troops who died in the shooting incident on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. This invitation emerged because Amien Rais was not sure that the government would investigate the case.

"We will immediately form a joint fact-finding commission regarding the disappearance or death of the six FPI troops, which I am sure there will no longer be a court to decipher who is actually responsible for the murder or dismantling of the six FPI troops," said Amien like quoted from his YouTube account, Monday, January 4.

According to him, there is nothing wrong with the community forming this team. As long as the data and facts that exist and are found by this team are objective and cannot be added or subtracted.

"So this is the full right of citizens. Don't be afraid this is guaranteed by the Constitution," he said.

"Then later we will collect all the facts held by various parties. Then we create a series of narrative, which is all supported by existing data," added the former Chairman of the MPR.

Later, the results of the TGPF investigation can be brought to the United Nation (UN) especially those dealing with human rights issues.

Amien Rais invited a number of young people who wanted to fight for this. Especially, those who feel they have a patriotic spirit and love the country and have a sense of concern for this case.

"Those who still have a conscience, Insyaallah, still have a patriotic spirit, a nationalist spirit, a spirit of love for our homeland, and are concerned about seeing the future, if this is the case, we will collect it later," he said.

"What's next, we can talk about it later, but I think God willing, if we move, Allah has shown us the way but if we just keep quiet, Allah will not help," he added.

It is known that a number of politicians, including Gerindra Party politician Fadli Zon, have also submitted requests for the TGPF to investigate this case. However, recently the government has emphasized that it will not create this TGPF because there is already a team from the National Human Rights Commission working to carry out the investigation.

Previously reported, the shooting incident of six FPI troops occurred at around 00.30 WIB Monday, December 7 in the morning.

Metro Jaya Regional Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said that this case began when the police received news that the mass of supporters of Rizieq Shihab would be deployed in connection with the investigation called Inspector General Fadil circulating in many WhatsApp groups.

Furthermore, a team from Polda Metro Jaya conducted an investigation into the correctness of the information and followed the vehicle Rizieq was in. On the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, Fadil said the officers' vehicles were intercepted and then attacked using firearms and sharp weapons.

Munarman also denied that the Rizieq followers had firearms. Because of this, Munarman emphasized that no gunfight was carried out by the police and members of the laskar prior to the incident that killed the six FPI troops.

Regarding the difference in this version, Komnas HAM then intervened by forming an investigation team and has carried out a number of parties including the Head of the Metro Jaya Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran, to the doctor who conducted an autopsy on the six bodies of FPI members.
