JAKARTA - The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) will reveal the series of shooting incidents of six Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) soldiers on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Kilometer 50, early December last year.

Komnas HAM Chairman Ahmad Taufan said the chronology of the shooting case was known after checking back and forth on Jasa Maga's surveillance camera (CCTV) and the results of ballistic and forensic tests. If nothing gets in the way, the results will be announced this week.

"Yes, definitely (explaining chronological order). God willing, this week (it will be announced). At the latest, early next week," said Taufan as quoted by Antara, January 4.

Taufan's statement at the same time complements Komnas HAM member Beka Ulung Hapsara on December 28, which stated that the CCTV footage was still 'rough' and required more in-depth analysis.

"Already (checked the CCTV footage and know the chronological details)," said Taufan.

Apart from surveillance cameras, the Komnas HAM Monitoring and Investigation Team has also carried out a reconstruction test in the parking area on the right side of the Komnas HAM Office, Central Jakarta today at around 14.30 WIB. All data and facts that have been collected, continued Taufan, will be consolidated in the team for the finalization process.

Komnas HAM previously invited the family of the FPI laskar who were shot dead while escorting the group of its leader, Rizieq Shihab. After gathering information from the family. Komnas HAM also plans to inspect the car used by the FPI laskar and the police during a shootout at the Cikampek toll road.

"Later we will test with analysis, whether there is compatibility or not between the information and physical evidence of the car," said Komnas HAM Commissioner, Choirul Anam.

After completing the car inspection, Komnas HAM also plans to examine the firearms used by the six FPI troops. The sooner the examination, the better it is to reduce the turmoil that occurred in the public due to this case.

In the reconstruction that was carried out on Monday, January 14, 2020, the police stated that they were attacked by the laskar of the organization that was disbanded by the government on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
