Maluku Residents Promote Ngilngof Tourism Village To Abroad

JAKARTA - Residents of Ngilngof Village, Manyeuw District, Southeast Maluku Regency, Maluku Province have developed their village independently into a tourist village and are promoting it so that it is known by domestic and foreign tourists.

"In Ngilngof village there is a Ngurbloat Beach Tourism Object with the finest sand in the world, ​​​​​​The Ngurbloat Beach tourist area is managed by the community independently," said Ngilngof Tourism Village Management Chair, Rudolf Tethool, quoted from Antara, Monday.

"Eighty percent of the facilities at Ngurbloat Beach are community assets, which are managed through bank or cooperative credit to build tourism support facilities," he said.

He said supporting facilities such as tourism digitization were also carried out independently, namely the Ngilngof Tourism Village Website, to promote tourism.

"The Ngilngof Tourism Village website and Ngurbloat Beach were made independently by Ngilngof's children without being paid, everything was done to facilitate promotion and access for tourists," he said.

Since 2020, said Rudolf, tourists who wish to visit Ngurbloat Beach can order lodging rooms, gazebos, vehicle rentals, and culinary delights through the website.

"We are making all our efforts so that the Ngilngof Tourism Village with its various tourism potentials is increasingly known to the public," he said.

He stated that the efforts made had yielded results in the form of awards from the central government and institutions, because the natural potential deserves to be enjoyed directly by visiting the tourist object.

A number of awards received include being included in the Top 10 Hidden Paradise Tourism Villages 2021 from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in February 2021, 1st place winner ADWI Advanced Tourism Village 2021, MURI World Record Award as a Beach with the Softest White Sand in the world in 2023, and nomination for the ASEAN Tourism Forum Award 2023.
