ACEH - Management of the Cut Nyak Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dhien Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency, targets the opening of a heart cateterization service (Cath Lab) this year. "God willing, if there are no obstacles, in 2023 we will function the Cath Lab service," said Director of the Cut Nyak Dhien Meulaboh Hospital, West Aceh, Dr. Ilum Anam, quoted from Antara, Sunday, February 5. The heart catheterization service is a service carried out in the heart and analytical catheterization laboratory, which aims to determine the diagnostics of heart disease and blood vessels. In this service, non-surgery interventions are then carried out according to invasive indications through blood vessels using a catheter or electrode. Cath Lab actions include the Diagnostic Coronary Angiography (DCA) which is a diagnostic process fortenious heart disease, Percutaneus Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) Stent, which is a non-surgery procedure with a minimal invasion used to open narrowing blood vessels. Then the Temporary Pace Maker (TPM) is in the form of a temporary heart runway installation in patients with a slow heart rhythm, ercutaneous Transvenous Mitral Comisurotomy (PTMC/BMV/ASO/AMVO/ LAA Closure) which is in the form of actions to repair abnormalities in the Partner valve, as well as heart cateterization or wiretapping services. Dr. Ilum Anam explained that currently the hospital owned by the West Aceh Regency Government has long owned Cath Lab equipment, which was purchased in 2018, and to be able to operate sophisticated equipment requires heart experts and medical personnel who have been trained, and get special certification. With the operation of Cath Lab in 2023, he said, as many as 191 heart patients who are currently registered at the Cut Nyak Dhien Meulaboh Hospital can use this service. "Currently, Acehnese people who want to get Cath Lab services, have to queue for about three months to get heart and heart surgery catheterization services at Zainoel Abidin Hospital, Banda Aceh," he said. With the opening of the Cath Lab service at the Cut Nyak Dhien Meulaboh Hospital, he said, all heart disease patients will be able to get this service without having to queue for months. "God willing, if we have operated this Cath Lab tool, then Cut Nyak Dhien Meulaboh Hospital is the only regional hospital in the district/city in Aceh, the first to operate the heart service," he said.
