The Case Of Venna Melinda's Domestic Violence Was Transferred To The East Java Prosecutor's Office, 4 Prosecutors Get The Task Of Researching Files

The file for the domestic violence case (KDRT) that befell artist Venna Melinda has been transferred by police investigators to the East Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati Jatim).

This was immediately welcomed by the East Java Prosecutor's Office by determining four prosecutors to handle the domestic violence case file with the suspect Ferry Irawan.

Head of the Legal Information Section of the East Java High Prosecutor's Office, Fathur Rohman, confirmed that his party had received the transfer of the first phase case file from the East Java Regional Police (East Java Police) investigators.

"We received the transfer of the first phase case file from the East Java Police investigators on Friday, February 3 yesterday," said Rohman, as quoted from Antara, Saturday, February 4.

Fathur explained that investigators applied Article 44 paragraph (1) and/or Article 45 paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia (UU RI) Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence.

" Broadly speaking, the files transferred by the East Java Police investigators contained several things, including evidence of witnesses, experts and visum et repertum letters, as well as statements from victims Venna Melinda," he said.

Furthermore, Fathur emphasized, the case file will be examined for two weeks by the research prosecutor appointed by the Head of the East Java Prosecutor's Office.

"To examine the case file, the Head of the East Java Prosecutor's Office, Mrs. Mia Amiati, has appointed four public prosecutors who will examine a maximum of 14 days," he said.

The four public prosecutors appointed by the East Java Prosecutor's Office will later determine whether the case files have met the formal and material requirements.

"If it is incomplete, the case file will be returned to the investigator, accompanied by instructions to be completed. If it is complete, namely the material and formal requirements are met, the investigator will be notified to carry out the second phase of the case file transfer, namely the submission of the suspect and evidence," said Fathur.
