JAKARTA - The DKI BPBD recorded sea level rise at the Fish Market Water Gate reaching 192 centimeters at 04.00 WIB with alert status, Saturday 4 February.

BPBD DKI explained that sea level rise had occurred since 00.00 WIB reaching 173 centimeters based on data from the DKI Water Resources Service (SDA). Padahl the surrounding area is in sunny weather.

The sea level increase at the Fish Market Water Gate rose again to 178 centimeters at 02.00 WIB, then at 03.00 WIB it reached 186 centimeters and at 04.00 WIB it reached 192 centimeters.

The sea level at the Fish Market Water Gate is normal if it is below 170 centimeters high.

BPBD DKI Jakarta asked residents to be aware of the possibility of coastal flooding (rob) until February 6, 2023 in several areas of North Jakarta.

Rob is thought to have occurred due to the phenomenon of full moon phases that have the potential to increase the maximum sea level which has the potential to cause coastal flooding (rob).

BPBD DKI Jakarta explained that the coastal flood is expected to occur from February 2, 2023 to February 6, 2023, every 07.00 WIB to 10.00 WIB.

The coastal flood is expected to have an impact on nine areas such as Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara and Penjaringan. Then in the areas of Pluit, Ancol, Kamal, Marunda, Cilincing and Kalibaru.
