Criminal Expert Formation Of Polda Metro Jaya Calls SP3 Case Police Step Hasya Athallah Is Right

JAKARTA - University of Jayabaya Criminal Expert Prof. Dr Suhandi Cahaya assessed that the decision of the police in conducting investigations and investigations into the accident that killed University of Indonesia (UI) student Hasya Atallah Saputra was correct.

Moreover, the criminal expert who is a member of the fact-finding team (TPF) formed by the Polda Metro Jaya is of the opinion that issuing a letter of termination of investigation by the police is also the right step.

"Actually, if we look at the investigation, the investigation by the Polda Metro Jaya is correct. Because the motorcyclist violated Article 310 paragraph 4 of the Traffic Law," Suhandi told reporters at the location, Thursday, February 2.

"(Then) the issuance of the SP3 is in accordance with Article 230 of the Criminal Code," he continued.

However, if Hasya's family is dissatisfied, said Suhandi, he can sue Purnawiran AKBP Eko Setio. Because he has allowed victims who need help.

Article 304 of the Criminal Code, one who ignores his wife's children, can be criminalized. Moreover, other people need help, the victim is hit by him (the car) so it can be criminalized too," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that Hasya's accident with Purnawiran AKBP Eko Setio occurred on Thursday, October 6, at around 21.30 WIB, on Jalan Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. When the weather happened, it was raining and the road was slippery.

Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman explained that the incident began with victim Hasya who was traveling from south to north at a speed of 60 km per hour.

Based on the testimony of the witness who was the victim's friend, explaining that there was a vehicle that suddenly turned. At the time of the incident, the victim Hasya immediately avoided stopping her vehicle suddenly. As a result, the victim slipped and entered another road.

"So his friend himself explained that at that time suddenly there was a vehicle in front of him (the victim) wanted to turn right so the victim made a sudden braking," said Latif.

At the same time, from the opposite direction, a Pajero car arrived driven by Eko who was said to be traveling at a speed of 30 km/hour. He could not avoid the accident, causing Hasya to get hit.

"Well, Mr. Eko at this time can't avoid it because it's close. So it's not a collision with a Pajero vehicle, but it fell to the right and was accepted by Pajero, so an accident occurred," he concluded.
