Bogor Regent Gives Posthumous Promotion For Health Workers Who Have Died From COVID-19

CIBINONG - Bogor Regent Ade Yasin gave posthumous promotion and compensation to health workers (health workers) who died due to exposure to COVID-19.

"They (health workers) are humanitarian fighters and heroes who need to be rewarded," said Ade Yasin as quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 3.

He also gave another award in the form of cash compensation worth Rp 125 million for the five health workers who were submitted through their respective heirs.

"On behalf of the local government and the people of Bogor Regency, our condolences and thanks for the dedication and sacrifice," said Ade Yasin.

Five health workers who died due to being exposed to COVID-19 in Bogor Regency were functional doctors at the Leuwinutug Public Health Center, Citeureup District, Head of the Banjarsari Community Health Center, Ciawi District, Nurses at the Pasir Angin Cileungsi Community Health Center, Ciawi Hospital Nurse, and Nurse at the Cibinong Medika Hospital.

In addition to providing compensation to health workers, Ade Yasin also provided compensation to three state civil servants (ASN) in the Bogor Regency Government who died of exposure to COVID-19 with a total assistance of IDR 45 million.

There are 13 Bogor Peak Tourists Positive for COVID-19

The Task Force for Handling COVID-19 in Bogor Regency, West Java, recorded 13 tourists in the Puncak area, Cisarua, Bogor, who tested positive for COVID-19 during the new year 2021 holiday based on the results of a mass rapid antigen test.

"A total of 576 tourists have undergone a rapid antigen test since December 31, 2020 until today, so 13 of them (tourists) have been confirmed positive for COVID-19," said the Head of Health Services at the Bogor District Health Office, Dr. Kusnadi at Bogor.

According to him, this figure is the accumulation of the mass rapid antigen examination held by the COVID-19 Task Force for tourists who want to enter the Peak Area from both Simpang Gadog and Rindu Alam for four days on the New Year holidays.

Kusnadi explained, on the first day of examination of 234 tourists, there were seven positive tourists.

"At the Gadog Simpang Posko, there were six people who tested positive for COVID-19 out of 167 participants for the rapid antigen test. At the Posko above Rindu Alam, we examined 67 people, one positive result," said Kusnadi.

Then, on the second day, none of the 108 tourists tested positive for the antigen. The third day, there were five positive tourists out of 123 who underwent a rapid test.

The last day, only one person was confirmed positive from 106 tourists at the two posts.

Meanwhile, Head of Satpol PP Bogor Regency, Agus Ridho, said tourists who were confirmed positive were prohibited from continuing their journey on the Peak Route, each asked to turn back after being asked for an identity card.

"There are those from Cianjur, Tangerang and most of them are tourists from the Jakarta area," said Agus.

As of Sunday, January 3, the Bogor Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force recorded 5,419 COVID-19 cases, with details of 4,594 cases recovered, 73 cases died, and 746 cases were active.
