A Climber From Surabaya Was Found Dead, Fell Into The Cliff Of Mount Rinjani

MATARAM - M Fuad Hasan (26), a climber from Surabaya, East Java, was found dead by the joint SAR Team. allegedly due to falling to the bottom of the ravine of Mount Rinjani, NTB.

Chairman of the Edelweiss Medical Help Center (EMHC) Mustiadi confirmed that a climber who died was suspected of having slipped and fell into a ravine while climbing Mount Rinjani.

"The bodies have been successfully evacuated by the joint SAR team to the Senaru Health Center, North Lombok Regency, at around 16.00 WITA," said Mustiadi, who joined the evacuation of the victims' bodies with the East Lombok SAR Unit team, and personnel from the Gunung Rinjani National Park (BTNGR), as well as members of the TNI-Polri.

He said the victim's body would be taken from the Senaru Community Health Center to the Mataram City Regional General Hospital.

The information obtained shows that the victim allegedly slipped and fell into a cliff on Friday (1/1). The victim's colleague who knew about the incident immediately went down the mountain to ask for help.

The joint SAR team who obtained this information immediately moved up the mountain to conduct a search. However, the victim was found dead at the bottom of the cliff.

"We found the victim was dead at the bottom of the ravine," said Mustiadi, quoted by Antara.
