Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, opened the possibility for his party to join the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) initiated by Golkar, PAN and PPP. On the other hand, Paloh also invited KIB to form a coalition with the NasDem Party. Paloh admits that his party is trying to collaborate with other political parties. Because with Golkar, NasDem's relationship has been very close and even has a history. "Others, we've just tried it, we just tried it. Is it necessary to join KIB? Yes, it's equally possible. Maybe KIB also joined NasDem, right. So probability, the possibility is still open," said Paloh during a press conference at the Golkar DPP Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 1. It is known that NasDem is currently exploring a coalition with PKS and Democrats. The three political parties are finalizing a coalition called the Change Coalition and are just waiting for a declaration. Paloh also revealed the reason he prefers to visit the Golkar Party rather than the parties that are members of the upcoming Change Coalition. Paloh said the party chaired by Airlangga Hartarto was a priority, because it had a historical background for his political career. "Priority for NasDem. There is one romanticism, there is one journey in the history of my personal life at the age I have achieved at this time, my political career path that I achieved today," said Surya Paloh. The Golkar Party alumni said she had joined the banyan party since she was 16 years old. "I have to honestly say to all of you, 16 years of age I have been in the ranks of Golkar, plus 43 years for a very long time, more than half a century I think. So, in Golkar itself there are 43 years, only then there is NasDem," he said. "So regardless of whether my shortcomings are stable to others, but the capital for togetherness, historical records, mutual understanding, is not wrong if you say Golkar alumni, it is true. So priority," said Paloh.
