Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, will meet the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto in his office this afternoon. The meeting at the Golkar DPP office, Slipi, West Jakarta, is scheduled to take place at 11.00 WIB. Until now, it is not known what discussion the two political party leaders will discuss, including whether it is about coalition matters. Deputy Chairperson of the NasDem DPP, Ahmad Ali explained that the meeting between Surya Paloh and Airlangga was a continuation of his party's political safari. As was the case when NasDem visited the Joint Secretariat (Sekber) of Gerindra-PKB in Menteng, some time ago. This afternoon's meeting is also a return visit. At that time, Airlangga also visited the NasDem Tower in Menteng, Central Jakarta. "I don't know exactly what they will talk about. Regarding Golkar's lobbying to join the Change Coalition or whether NasDem is close to KIB, Ali is reluctant to comment. Ali hopes that the communication between the two party officials in the meeting can be disbursed so that there is no tension and mutual suspicion between political parties ahead of the 2024 election contestation. "When we are at the contestation stage, we go through with joy. Not with tensions, prejudices, suspect each other that this person is ugly, this one is dangerous, we are the best," said Ali. Ali also hopes that all political parties can also follow NasDem's steps by maintaining peace so that there will be no noise in the upcoming elections.
