PKS Used To Support Prabowo Now Usung Anies Becomes A 2024 Presidential Candidate, Gerindra: We Are Ready To Conteste

JAKARTA - PKS and Gerindra became tandems when facing the 2014 and 2019 elections. But now PKS has chosen to carry Anies Baswedan, while Gerindra remains loyal to support Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate (Capres) in 2024.

Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, said his party still respects the attitude of PKS which has officially expressed support for Anies. According to him, it is the right of political parties (political parties) to fight for figures.

"Yes, please, that's their right, part of the constitution, please," said Habiburokhman at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, January 31.

Although it has not officially announced the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair, Habiburokhman stated that his party and PKB who are members of the Change Coalition are ready to contest PKS. "We are ready to contest in a healthy manner. Okay?" he said.

It is known that PKS, which is part of the Change Coalition with the NasDem Party and the Democratic Party, has officially announced that they will carry Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election.

This statement of attitude was conveyed by Deputy Chairman of the PKS Shura Council Mohammad Sohibul Iman, in the Soekarno Hatta Airport area, Tangerang, Monday, January 30, yesterday.

Sohibul Iman was accompanied by a small team in the Change Coalition, namely Sudirman Said to the Secretary General of Democrats Teuku Riefky, but without representatives from the NasDem Party when holding a press conference for support to Anies Baswedan for the 2024 General Election.
