Investigators Have Stated That The Mode Of Misappropriation Of The East Lombok Setwan Tax Budget

The prosecutor's investigators revealed the alleged mode of misappropriation of the East Lombok DPRD tax budget (Setwan), West Nusa Tenggara, for the 2018-2020 period. "The method is that the tax money deducted from each recipient is not directly deposited into the regional treasury, but is used for personal gain," said Head of the Special Crimes Section of the East Lombok Kejari Isa Ansyori who was met in Mataram, Antara, Monday, January 30. In this way, Isa assured that the perpetrators who did this were individuals who served in the East Lombok DPRD Setwan. To further confirm the role concerned, Isa also said that investigators are now waiting for the results of the audit of the East Lombok Inspectorate. Although he has pocketed the potential loss of the state as a result of an independent count with an estimated IDR 400 million, the results of the inspectorate's audit are assured that Isa will be a strong evidence in determining the suspect. "If there is an audit result, we can only hold it to determine (the suspect)," he said. In this series of investigations, Isa said investigators had collected statements from witnesses, ranging from the DPRD Secretary, staff at the DPRD and those who were aware of the tax issue. The investigation of this case is also a follow-up to the results of the case title which has found indications of unlawful acts. This indication leads to the criminal provisions of Article 2 paragraph (1) and/or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001.
