JAKARTA - Former Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) cadre Michael Victor Sianipar revealed that there will still be party cadres bearing the rose symbol who will leave. According to Michael, Rian Ernest is not a cadre who left PSI for the last time. "Rian is already (out). I know there are others. Yes, this is just a matter of time, really. Everyone has their own considerations and timings," Michael told reporters, Monday, January 30. Michael said he was confident in this statement. Because, when he was still a PSI cadre, there were a number of other cadres who claimed to be worried about the change in the direction of the party, which is now led by Giring Ganesha. According to them, PSI is no longer running the party machine with the ideology initiated from the start. "Many of the factors question the direction of the party. What, what is being fought for now? Is the system of transparency, meritocracy, accountability, really run in the party? That's the question," said Michael. That's why, continued Michael, which caused a number of PSI cadres to decide to leave the party. Some of them prefer to join other parties, such as Michael, who is now a Perindo cadre. "We must also be critical. In this criticism, in fact there are many of our figures who can no longer walk with PSI," he said. A number of PSI politicians have recently decided to leave their party. Then, in October 2022, the former Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/NAsional Land Agency (Wamen ATR/BPN), Surya Tjandra also decided to leave PSI.
