The Aceh Police have arrested an alleged perpetrator of hoarding diesel fuel (BBM) in Bireuen Regency. The perpetrator's mode is to modify the open tub vehicle with evidence of 6.2 tons of fuel.

Director of the Special Criminal Investigation of the Aceh Police, Kombes Pol Winardy, in Banda Aceh, said the perpetrator had the initials MH (43).

MH was arrested on the Banda Aceh-Medan national road, Dayah Blang Ralue Village, Jeunieb District, Bireuen Regency.

"MH was arrested on Friday. Together with the perpetrators, evidence of one ton of diesel fuel and an open tub car was also secured," Winardy told ANTARA, January 29.

He said the arrest of the alleged perpetrator was based on public information. The public reported that there was a practice of hoarding diesel fuel by modifying the fuel oil tank.

"Based on this information, the team investigated and arrested the alleged perpetrator along with a modified pickup truck to accommodate fuel. The perpetrator and the evidence were brought to the Aceh Regional Police in Banda Aceh for further legal proceedings," said Winardy.

Previously, the Aceh Police Special Criminal Investigation Sub-Directorate I Team also arrested an alleged perpetrator of hoarding diesel fuel in Aceh Jaya Regency.

Winardy said the perpetrator had the initials MK (45). Together with the perpetrators, evidence in the form of diesel weighing up to 6.2 tons in 31 plastic drums was also secured.

"The alleged perpetrator of the Constitutional Court was arrested in Dayah Baro Village, Krueng Sabee District, Aceh Jaya Regency. The alleged perpetrator was arrested on Thursday," said Winardy.

"Currently, the alleged perpetrator and the evidence are secured to the Aceh Regional Police for further investigation of where the fuel was obtained and further legal proceedings," said Winardy.
