Madiun Ciduk Police 4 Suspects Of Drug Cases Of Prison Network

JAKARTA - The Drug Investigation Unit of the Madiun Police, East Java, arrested four suspects in drug and drug abuse cases during January 2023. They turned out to be a network of prison circulation.

"During January 2023, we have arrested four suspects along with a number of evidences. The suspects used to supply drugs to prisons," said Madiun Police Chief AKBP Anton Prasetyo when releasing the case in Madiun, Friday, January 27, as reported by Antara.

The suspects are Riski Indra alias Kancil, a resident of Pacinan Village, Balerejo District, Madiun Regency; Hendrik alias Paimo, a resident of Kedungbanteng Village, Pilangkenceng District; and Lucki Septian alias Jojin, a resident of Duren Village, Pilangkenceng District. All three are suspects in the distribution of hard drugs.

Meanwhile, Elyas Purnomo alias Tato, a resident of Wayut Village, Jiwan District, is a suspect in drug trafficking abuse.

The evidence that was secured from the suspects varied, namely 1.9 kilograms of marijuana, 84.93 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 13,000 pills of hard drugs in the form of double L pills, and 22 inex hard drugs.

According to the Police Chief, the four suspects were arrested in a number of different locations. Most of the evidence was obtained in the suspect's house and boarding house.

Currently, the Madiun Police are still developing the case to uncover the big city behind the drug and hard drugs carried out by the suspect.

Meanwhile, the modes of drug trafficking and illegal drugs carried out by the suspect were mostly by mine.

Currently, the suspects and evidence have been secured by the police for further legal proceedings.

The suspect in a drug case, namely Elyas Purnomo, was charged with multiple articles of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with the threat of life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of five years and a maximum of 20 years.

This is because the ownership of the drug evidence in question is more than one kilogram.

Meanwhile, the suspect of drug abuse was charged with Article 196 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health, with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years.
