BANJAR BARU - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said the holding of elections in four new autonomous regions (DOB) in Papua had been prepared to participate in the presidential and legislative elections. "Yes, I think all the rules in Papua have been made as new autonomous areas. That's Papua now six provinces, four in Papua, the two in West Papua; so six. Everything has been prepared," said Ma'ruf Amin on the sidelines of a working visit in Banjar Baru, South Kalimantan, Antara, Friday, January 27. Ma'ruf conveyed this when answering questions related to the Government's evaluation of preparations for holding elections in four Papuan DOBs. He added that the General Elections Commission (KPU) has also prepared that the four Papuan DOBs can participate in presidential and legislative elections. "For elections, the KPU has prepared so that they can participate in the election, can participate in the presidential election, can participate in nominating for the legislature of the DPR and DPD, and those (others) related to elections," he added. In addition to preparing for elections, said Ma'ruf, the government has also prepared the participation of the four Papuan DOBs in the National Sports Week (PON) in Aceh and North Sumatra. "Even yesterday in cabinet meetings for PON, for example, PON in Aceh and North Sumatra.
