SOLOK - A resident of Solok City, West Sumatra, found a 5.5-meter-long rice field snake weighing about 130 kilograms which was handed over directly to the Solok City Damkar. A Catastrophe Fathur Amadavi Illaki (21) who evacuated the snake said the snake had entered the residents' yard before being evacuated. "The initial findings on December 31, 2022, I received reports from residents, if I do not evacuate, residents will kill them," he said in Solok, Antara, Thursday, January 26. Fatur said, for 25 days the snake was quarantined at his home. "I was treated, bathed in betel leaf water and given drinking water three times a week, only then was it handed over to the Solok City Damkar," he said. The snake was evacuated in Banda Guideg, Tanah Garam Village, Lubuk Sikarah District, Solok City. This snake was evacuated by 5 firefighters. Furthermore, he said, during the evacuation the snake had resisted but was finally able to be evacuated safely. "When the snake was evacuated, the snake had just finished eating," he said. Kasi Evacuasi Damkar, Kota Solok Baswandi said the report was received from residents at 11.00 WIB. "We went down by eight people to the location. We used sacks that didn't fit. Then we asked Fathur for help," he said. Furthermore, the snake will be handed over to the BKSDA for further action. "We are still waiting for the BKSDA. We are only authorized to evacuate," he said.
