Malang Is The Highest Regency In Indonesia To Dispension For Marriage

JAKARTA - Director of Religious Justice Administration, Directorate General of the Religious Justices Agency Nur Djannah Syaf, said that the area with the highest number of dispensation for marriages in Indonesia during 2022 was Malang Regency. "The highest in all of Indonesia is the Surabaya Religious High Court. In the Greater Surabaya area is Malang Regency," said Nur Djannah Syaf at the national seminar "The results of the Study on the Prevention of Child Marriage to Create a Child-Friendly Indonesia 2030", in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, January 26. Nur Djannah Syaf said, in Malang, the factor for applying for a marriage dispensation was the most due to dropping out of school. "In Malang Regency, it is not because of the most pregnancy factors, but because of dropping out of school," he said. During 2022, his party noted that there were 15,339 marriage dispensations at the Surabaya Religious High Court with love for dominating the reason for applying for dispensation. "The reason for being pregnant is 3,393 cases, the economic reason is 977 cases. Then the intimate reasons are 133 cases. The reason for love is 10,836 cases," said Nur Djannah Syaf. The number of dispensations for the second highest marriage in Indonesia is Central Java. Then in a row West Java, Makassar, Palembang, Jambi, and Bengkulu. On that occasion, Nur Djannah Syaf straightened out the viral news about Ponorogo Regency, East Java, which is said to have a high rate of dispensation for marriage. "In Ponorogo, the case in 2020 is only 292, then in 2022 there are only 191, compared to Malang Regency, the case is around 1,400 more," he said.
