PKS And Anies Baswedan Turned Out To Be Needy Together

JAKARTA - The former governor of DKI Jakarta who is now a candidate for president of the NasDem Party, Anies Baswedan and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) are considered to need each other in facing the 2024 General Election.

"PKS and Anies seem to need each other. On the other hand, the survey results obtained by the majority of Anies voters, namely 18.4 percent are PKS voters," said Executive Director of the KedaiKOPI Survey Institute Kunto Adi Wibowo in a written statement received in Jakarta, Thursday, January 26, as reported by Antara.

So Anies must know that if PKS does not form a coalition with the NasDem Party, the voice of the former Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) could be lost by 18.4 percent.

On the other hand, PKS also has the potential to lose votes if it does not support Anies Baswedan. This is because 34.2 percent of the party's voters stated that they would not vote for PKS if they did not carry Anies Baswedan.

The public opinion survey towards 2024 organized by the KedaiKOPI Survey Institute at the end of 2022 also revealed the link between political parties and a number of names that are predicted to run in the Presidential Election (Pilpres).

He explained that based on the results of a survey conducted by KedaiKOPI, there were strong associations between parties and presidential candidates (candidates). Gerindra Party and Prabowo Subianto while PKS and Anies Baswedan.

These results were obtained from the distribution of party electability based on the electability of four presidential candidates, namely Anies Baswedan, Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto and Puan Maharani.

The highest distribution of Gerindra voters supported Prabowo Subianto by 74.7 percent followed by Anies Baswedan 18.9 percent, Ganjar Pranowo 6.0 percent and Puan Maharani 0.4 percent. The number of Gerindra voters who support Prabowo is the largest when compared to the distribution of voters from other parties to the Minister of Defense.

Meanwhile, the majority of PKS voters support Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate with a result of 65.4 percent. This number is also the largest compared to the distribution of voters from other parties to Anies.

The rest, PKS voters' support was given to Ganjar Pranowo at 18.7 percent, Prabowo Subianto 15.9 percent and zero percent for Puan Maharani.

The public opinion survey towards 2024 was conducted by the KedaiKOPI Survey Institute from November 22 to December 2, 2022, face-to-face using computer assisted personal interview technology to 1,200 respondents over the age of 17 in 34 provinces.
