JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) hopes that Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini will also build coordination regarding the distribution of social assistance in 2021.

Previously, President Joko Widodo had set social assistance for people affected by COVID-19 in the Greater Jakarta area to change from previously being in the form of basic foodstuffs to cash distributed through PT Pos Indonesia.

"We will continue the coordination, Mrs. Risma, who has also changed the staple food into cash so that it can go directly to the recipient because I think it is well known that the quality of the basic food yesterday was not in accordance with the value set by the government," said Alexander.
Alexander hopes that with the change of basic food assistance to cash there will be no reduction in quality and target recipients of the social assistance.

Until 18 December 2020, the total number of complaints submitted by the public to the KPK through the JAGA Bansos feature reached 2,129 reports, various types of social assistance were submitted and forwarded to local governments and related ministries.
