JAMBI - The Jambi City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR) allocated IDR 48 billion for the construction of environmental roads in 2023. Head of the Human Settlements Division of the Jambi City PUPR Service, Momon Sukmana Fitra, said that this year there are 280 environmental road activities that are ready to be carried out by the Jambi City PUPR. "Especially for roads, there are 280 road construction spread across 11 sub-districts with a budget of Rp48 billion," he said in Jambi, Antara, Tuesday, January 24. Overall, the Human Settlements Division received an allocation of IDR 200 billion in the Jambi City Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) 2023. The funds disbursed were to continue road work in 2022. In addition, the funds are also to carry out environmental road work in Jambi City. Momon explained, this year the Cipta Karya field only manages funds from the APBD. "We did not receive a special allocation of allocation funds (DAK) from the center," he explained. The absence of DAK allocation, he said, is likely that the government is focusing on carrying out development in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago in Kalimantan. According to Momon, with funds of Rp200 billion from the APBD, apart from road work, his party also continued the work of the Jambi Mayor's office, the Transportation Service office, and the Jambi City Industry Trade Office. In addition, he said, the PUPR office will also improve the jogging track of Lake Sipin which occurred a landslide some time ago.
