JAKARTA - The Municipal Government of Padang is helping to build a kitchen for the production of UKM Rendang Zara in an effort to present high quality rendang and have good production standards.

According to him, with the help of making a kitchen provided through the city budget it can also become a learning center and a visit center for those who want to see first hand the production of rendang.

In line with that, the Head of the Department of Manpower and Industry of Padang City, Yunisman, conveyed that assistance in making a kitchen was aimed at producing hygienic rendang.

The kitchen that is built consists of a room for raw materials, preparation, production and packaging according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

In the construction of the kitchen, BPOM Padang also involved ensuring that the production process was in accordance with the health requirements of food.

"This is the first pilot rendang kitchen in Padang that meets the requirements and is standardized," he said

Meanwhile, the owner of Rendang Zara, Rafdinal, expressed his gratitude for the assistance in making a kitchen by the Padang City government.

He recounted that when he started a rendang business because of his hobby of cooking and finally this hobby was channeled into a more productive form by making Zara's rendang business.

In addition, this effort will also stimulate the economy of local residents.
