The Sub-Directorate IV Team of the Aceh Regional Police's Ditreskrimum arrested an unscrupulous Islamic boarding school teacher suspected of sodomizing five underage students at the Islamic boarding school where he taught, Aceh Besar District. Director of the General Criminal Investigation of the Aceh Police, Kombes Ade Harianto, said the perpetrator had the initials FB (24). FB was arrested based on public reports. "FB was arrested at a boarding school or Islamic boarding school in the Darul Imangah area, Aceh Besar District on suspicion of committing sodomy against five students," said Ade Harianto in Banda Aceh, Antara, Thursday, January 19. The middle-ranking Aceh Police officer said the five students were 12 years old each. Meanwhile, the alleged perpetrator of FB is the principal at the pesantren. Before arresting FB, said Ade Harianto, the Sub-Directorate IV Team of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Aceh Police investigated public reports on allegations of sexual harassment against the five students. "Based on the investigation, FB was arrested less than twice 24 hours after the alleged sexual harassment case was reported. FB was arrested this Thursday," said Ade Harianto. Ade Harianto said the alleged perpetrator carried out the action while the other students were still in the mosque, performing the Fajr prayer. Meanwhile, the victim was prohibited from going to the mosque and then the perpetrator sodomized her in a certain position. Another mode, said Ade Harianto, was before the Zuhur Prayer. Prospective victims are prohibited from praying and after other students at the mosque, that's when the perpetrators did the action. Likewise, during Maghrib's time when other students at the mosque, the perpetrators carried out similar actions. "The perpetrator's mode is when praying and santri are in the mosque. The average victim is prohibited from going to the mosque to pray in congregation with other students," said Ade Harianto. Ade Harianto expressed deep concern over the incident. Moreover, children who are victims of sexual harassment are certainly experiencing deep trauma and affect their growth and development, especially psychologically. For this reason, Ade Harianto invites the public to supervise children and make the environment, both in schools, dayah, and other places a safe place for children. "To educational institutions that receive entrusted care for children from their parents to maintain good trust. Let's make this case a lesson and in the future it should not happen again," said Ade Harianto. Head of Sub-Directorate IV of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Aceh Police, Kompol Musniar, said that the alleged perpetrator was a sodomi who was the principal at the Islamic boarding school in Aceh Besar District. "The perpetrator was arrested less than twice 24 hours after the report was received. Currently, the perpetrator is being held at the Aceh Police Headquarters Detention Center to undergo legal proceedings," said Musniar.
