Komnas Perempuan member Bahrul Fuad said his party was investigating a case of alleged immoral acts through electronic media with the suspect a woman with the initials FA (25) who allegedly involved the leadership of the DPRD in Penajam Paser Utara (PPU), East Kalimantan. "It is being investigated," said Bahrul Fuad to ANTARA in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 18. Bahrul Fuad confirmed that the FA through his attorney had reported this case to Komnas Perempuan. "Yes, it has been reported to Komnas Perempuan," he said. Komnas Perempuan is of the view that the FA as a suspect has rights that must be respected and fulfilled by the state, including the presumption of innocence, the right to effective and quality legal assistance. The FA also has the right to provide information without pressure and the right to be informed regarding the alleged allegations and not charged with evidence. Bahrul Fuad added that Komnas Perempuan opposes exploitation of women in any form. "Of course, according to the mandate he has, Komnas Perempuan opposes exploitation of women in any form," he said. Previously, on June 10, 2022, the FA was reported by the leadership of the PPU DPRD with the initials SMN to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police after a nasty video allegedly FA and SMN was spread on social media. The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has named the FA as a suspect. Then arrested the FA on September 22, 2022.
