Prabowo And Cak Imin Meet This Week After The Recommendation For Ijtima' Ulama

Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid, said that Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin would meet with Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto this week.

Jazilul revealed that the meeting between the two was to discuss the results of the recommendation of Ijtima' Ulama Nusantara regarding the decision of the presidential and vice presidential candidates to be promoted by PKB. Of course, involving Gerindra as a coalition partner.

"God willing, this week (Cak Imin meets Pak Prabowo, ed)," Jazilul told reporters, Tuesday, January 17. The Deputy Chairperson of the MPR said, Cak Imin and Prabowo will speak specifically at tomorrow's meeting. In particular, regarding the complete discussion of the results of the Ijtima' Ulama Nusantara to be taken into consideration in deciding the candidate pairs to be carried out in the upcoming presidential election.

"We appreciate Gerindra who wants to get a complete report on the results of the Ijtima' Ulama Nusantara to be taken into consideration," he said.

Currently, added Jazilul, PKB is trying to carry out Ijtima' Ulama's recommendation. He hopes that the name of the presidential and vice presidential candidates for 2024 can be decided before the holy month of Ramadan in March.

"We hope that before Ramadan there will be a decision regarding the presidential and vice presidential candidates," said Jazilul. Previously, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani, revealed that the name Muhaimin Iskandar so far still dominates the discussion regarding the figure who deserves to accompany Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election.

"Yes, Mr. Muhaimin dominates the discussion," said Ahmad Muzani in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Monday, January 16. However, he continued, other names also appeared during discussions among Gerindra Party cadres.

"There are also other names being discussed, the names are dynamics. All the names circulating are said," he continued.

However, Muzani emphasized that whoever the name discussed, in the end, the decision of the presidential and vice presidential candidates was in Prabowo Subianto's hands as chairman of the Gerindra Party and Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar as chairman of the PKB.

"That's the point of cooperation (between Gerindra and PKB), the signature of the points is like that," said Muzani.
