If You Become A Victim Of Violence, Never Be Afraid And Have A Ceiling To Report

JAKARTA - The government says prevention efforts are the most important part of resolving the issue of violence against women.

"Of course what must be done is to carry out massive campaigns to the community, especially related to prevention upstream," said Deputy for the Protection of Women's Rights at the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Ratna Susianawati in a Media Talk entitled "The Achievement of Performance at the Ministry of PPPA FY 2022 and the Resolution of the Ministry of PPPA TA 2023", in Jakarta, Friday, January 13, quoted from Antara.

This prevention effort is a treatment at the root of the problem.

"We must be able to close, find holes where we can take preventive measures. This is the most important thing, before cases occur which are downstream talking about law enforcement," said Ratna Susianawati.

KemenPPPA has massively carried out the "Dare to Speaker Up" campaign to the public whose aim is to encourage victims, families of victims, and the public to dare to report acts of violence that they experience or know.

"Tren peningkatan (terungkap-nya) kasus kekerasan ini juga dipecu karena kampanye masif kami terkait dengan Dare toak Up, korban berani bicara, tidak hanya korban, tetapi keluarganya, termasuk juga masyarakat," kata Ratna.

Ratna added that the synergy of all parties is also important in efforts to resolve the issue of violence.

"Pentahelix participation is important. When with the government, we will talk in the context of its policy, when dealing with how to ensure prevention, handling, and law enforcement can be carried out, of course this synergy cannot be forgotten," he said.

Ratna Susianawati said that in the future the KemenPPPA would continue to package forms of violent prevention campaigns by involving all parties.
