Kiai The Caretaker Of The Islamic Boarding School In Jember Was Finally Examined By The Police Regarding The Report On The Obscenity Of The Santri

JAKARTA - Investigators from the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Jember Police, East Java, examined the caretakers of Islamic boarding schools regarding allegations of immoral acts against their students.

"Today, four witnesses were examined, one of which was Kiai FM who was examined for the first time," said FM's reported attorney, Andi C. Putra, to reporters at the Jember Police Headquarters, Thursday, January 12.

Actually, the examination of three students of the Islamic boarding school was an additional examination because they had previously been examined a few days ago.

"We accompanied the examination of the four witnesses because we were the attorneys reported by Kiai FM as well as the attorneys for the three students," he said as quoted by Antara.

The Jember Police have twice sent a summons to the reported Kiai FM. However, Kiai FM always reasoned that he was sick.

Meanwhile, HA reporter's attorney, Yamini, said that psychological examinations were also carried out on four students and two of them were minors.

"A lot of support has flowed for the reporter who is also Kiai FM's wife, so it is not true that the issue stated that the reporter withdrew his report at the Jember Police," he said.

The Director of the Indonesian Women's Jentera Legal Aid Institute (LBH) said that the Jember Police had also conducted a post-mortem on four female students suspected of being victims of immoral acts.

Previously, the caretaker of one of the Islamic boarding schools in Mangaran Village, Ajung Kiai FM District, was reported by his wife HA to the Jember Police regarding allegations of immoral acts against a number of students.

The case came to the attention of the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA), so that the ministry team went down to Jember Regency and asked the East Java Regional Police for help to oversee the law enforcement process for immoral acts carried out by caretakers of Islamic boarding schools in Mangaran Village.
